Download 7d2d mod launcher

I will absolutely vouch and back sphereii hard work and expertise. He has put his all into this wonderful tool, and it is just absolutely wonderful.

It has made my life, and the life of everyone on my servers so much easier. Have icons and progression files that dont push? Have them use this. You can make direct changes to your files server admins and you never have to ask everyone to update again, as long as they launch with this the new files will auto download to their pcs.

It has saved me and others hours of frustration,'. Months in development and fine tuned, i stand behind this percent and am proud to have even been able to call this man both a friend and a fellow server community member. You absolutely can not go wrong with this life saving tool.

Fedora Approved! Hey sphereii long time no chat lol, glad you finally made the plunge and put this out there for all to use. Will make a big difference to those of us who like to play the game using different mods from time to time.

I've been using this for a few weeks and it works brilliantly. Great work, SphereII! Thank you for the kind words. Let's hope this will make server administrators more flexible in the mods they can deploy!

It pales compared to what you have been contributing, sir! I hope this is just another piece of the puzzle! Looks awesome. One question. I know this works with xml mods with icons but will this work for SDX mods. However, the launcher will install and patch anything you provide.

So if you provide it with a modified DLL, it will find the original, and replace it. If you have a new directory structure, then the launcher will install the new structure. If you provide a 7D2DPatch file, it will patch large files while keeping the patch file small. I then created diff between the SDX installed folder, and my baseline, and generated a zip file using Beyond Compare 4. You'll then have a new SDX mod available in the launcher.

By providing pre-made zip files, and configs, we can create mods that contains groupings of SDX mods, without the user needing to use the FrontEnd or installing SDX itself. It does not appear as if you need to update Settings. For instance, if Spider has all the mods installed, and working, he could create a zip file of just the changed files, and share them. It may not be ideal, or as easy as adding custom icons or XML changes, but then again, the SDX process is slightly more complex.

End users may not be able to make their own combinations without using SDX and FrontEnd, but we could provide some pre-made SDX mod combinations to get a good feel for them, and give it some more exposure. Server Administrators could create these packages, and allow their clients to easily connect to their servers.

Added a new config to the SDX link from the posting above. These mods combinations are more of a proof of concept project, rather than any kind of official mod. However, modders can create their own combination to create a solid game play experience based on themes. With that said, I was hesitant at first to use this tool as I hate change. Enjoy, -SphereII. Pacco Posted August 27, Posted August 27, Hi Pacco. Thanks, -SphereII. Will give it a try, will let you know results. Posted August 31, Hey all. Just pushed out a small update which will better support the SDX mods.

The 7D2D Mod Launcher should auto-update on its next start up. Spider Posted September 1, Posted September 1, You should see something like this: Highlight the files that are shown to be different. In my above example, they are Purple.

Right click, and Copy To Folder. I've also listed previous versions of the game as well, which must be acquired from Steam. Unfortunately, the game stores its saved games in a standard location, so all mods, regardless of copies, will all save and open in the same folder.

I was working on a quest generator, using another one of my tool chains. However, the quests were a struggle to deal with from a programming point of view, so progress has been slow on this.

It would be really nice if I could separate the save games, but haven't seen a way to do that. My mouse sensitivity gets down to 0 sometimes on start up, while some alphas do save their files elsewhere. At some point, they switched. The Simple mode works, and works quite well, for XML-based mods.

I quickly patched together support for SDX mods, but the Simple mode's clean up hasn't caught up to it, unfortunately. I'm still working on the SDX support to make them download faster. The thing with SDX support is that the mod launcher doesn't do any compiling. It relies on modders like Spider to create a working mod, and then release it.

This has pros and cons to it. For one pro, it allows modders to make sure everything works before releasing it. Since their SDX mod is based directly off their test folder, it reduces room for errors. The con is that it is a bit more work on the modder's side of thing.

Skyrim is one of these special games. I have sunk in a lot of hours into that game, before I even knew there was mods.
